Mission Speaker

Mike Lanza

Mike Lanza is a 36-year-old who graduated from Drexel with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Though his degree is in Engineering, he quickly pivoted and started a new career in Data and Analytics. Throughout this career change, he was unknowingly living with a Brain Tumor/Cancer, not making this transition any easier. He was diagnosed with Brain Cancer in November 2022. Though the following surgery and treatment were successful, recovery brought ongoing challenges. Every day is a battle, fighting through persistent fatigue, brain fog, and staying focused. Tasks that once felt routine suddenly required significantly more effort, patience, and adaptability. While these challenges are a part of his daily life, they are a small price to pay for the opportunity to continue living, growing, and pursuing the things that matter most to him.
